Education is one of the primary goals of the Society. In recent years we have expanded our training opportunities to include conferences, professional training program courses, and webinars. Many of our training opportunities are available in virtual formats to allow participants from around the world to expand their knowledge in the areas of complex trauma. ISSTD’s mission is to advance clinical, scientific, and societal understanding about the prevalence and consequences of chronic trauma and dissociation, underlies the courses that it offers.
ISSTD’s Professional Training Program (PTP) courses strive to provide the most current, high-quality content and instruction, setting the standard for graduate and continuing education in the field of trauma and dissociation.
While the courses are geared toward clinical practice, they also cover research findings, as well as legal and ethical issues within the domain of mental health practice.
